The idea for the \u201cSound Chandelier\u201d emerged as part of the development of the sound trail during a 5-day stay on site. A clear focus was placed on a site-specific artistic exploration using regional materials. In the installation, the wind acts as a sound generator and is deliberately invited to play an active role in the sound installation. The woody sounds produced are diverse and heighten awareness of this otherwise invisible global natural phenomenon. Suspended 8 meters above the ground in a clearing, the thin wooden sound rods\u2014ranging from 2.40 to 4 meters in length\u2014begin to move at the slightest breeze, rubbing against one another and colliding. The wood from this specific region in South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its particularly straight grain and is ideally suited for instrument making.
