The work \u201cHausbau\u201d shows where the materials used to build the extension to the Bauhaus Archive Berlin came from. It raises awareness of the limits of our planet and is intended as an incentive for further research into and development of sustainable construction. The Bauhaus radically broke with tradition. Kunst am Bau encourages a break with climate-damaging building traditions and combines the idea of the archive with current and future challenges. It calls for action that is aware of the impact of human activity on ecosystems and the interconnectedness of life on earth. Three materials that characterize the building are brought back to their origins in audiovisual form: Spruce plywood, concrete and glass. These building materials of the Bauhaus Archive are products of highly technical industrial manufacturing processes. Video recordings document the process from primary material to building material. Each of the three selected building materials is the subject of a 5-minute film. The recordings audiovisually show the transformation from tree to three-layer panel, from limestone to concrete, from sand to glass wall. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
