The art-in-building proposal \u2018In Between\u2019 offers various interaction and retreat options in the framework of the design of the IGS Kandel schoolyard. At its core is the school as a community as well as interpersonal interaction: students and teachers learn with and from each other. Symbolic of this concept is the circular shape. Three green islands foster interaction and exchange during the &#8220;in-between&#8221; moments of school hours, featuring various circularly designed spaces for relaxation, play, reclining, and seating. Lush vegetation surrounding the site-specific elements is an integral part of the concept, enabling a multisensory experience of nature.
