From the series: fragments

The sculptures of the series 'fragments' address the reciprocal references between nature and culture as well as the ambivalent relationship between similarity, difference and identity. The hand-drawn 3D prints made of wood filament imitate and duplicate fragments from the natural world. By exhibiting real birch fragments and their replicas next to each other, an alternative, independent form of presentation is created: the original is imitated, but never exactly reproduced. The delicate hand drawings in three-dimensional space explore the concept of sculpture as a version of reality as well as a copy of the original and question claims of dominance of Western civilizations over 'nature'.
