From the series: Copy Paste Nature

The small-scale works of the series "Copy Paste Nature" navigate the intersection between original and reproduction, natural and artificial, as well as between two- and three-dimensional spaces. The geometric forms that emerge through artistic intervention contrast with the natural shapes of the birch leaf as an antithesis. Simultaneously, the leaves are complemented by color copies that closely resemble their three-dimensional origin. Only upon closer inspection can the transitions between original and copy be discerned. The ambivalent relationship of similarity, difference, and identity unfolds along the perceptual boundaries between natural and artificial landscapes. The works address the reciprocal reference between nature and culture and reflect on human intervention in nature and its sensitive ecosystems.
