Digital meets Analog. Within the interplay of global environmental influences and the relationship between physical and digital spaces, the series 'Nature copied’ reflects the decoupling between industrially manufactured wood building materials and their origins. Birch bark collected from various places on Earth is digitally scanned and printed directly onto birch veneer. The grain of the real wood veneer blends with the printed birch bark. A combination of technical precision and chance leads to unpredictable results.
