Prejudices form the basis of every form of discrimination. ‘Grauzone’ (engl. gray area) translates common prejudices against marginalized groups into instructions that imperatively call on viewers to specifically exclude the respective group. Stigmatization and discrimination of undesirable groups of people and behaviors become the subject of critical satire against the backdrop of existing strategies of repression in public space, questioning the inclusivity of public interest and initiating processes of reflection on conflicts of use in the public sphere. The brochure ‘For a Better Living Together’ was exhibited at Clap Today, Temporary Space in Essen, among other places. The measures for targeted discrimination have been published in the magazine DIENADEL.
