From the series: human perspective

According to an anthropocentric worldview, nature is subordinate to humans and can be dominated by them. The forest in Koli National Park (Eastern Finland) would look completely different without human influence. ‘human perspective’ organizes a part of the forest in the framework of the Koli Environmental Art Festival and creates a human structure in a natural environment. From behind, the trees seem untouched, the upturned bark is visible only from one side of the artwork. The work addresses human's civilizational intervention in forests, as well as their decision to leave parts of the earth untouched. Can nature and culture be separated when nature is subjected to human's power of decision?
